    • Greetings, Fellow Anglers and Anglerettes! Welcome to DickTalleur.Com. Here I offer information on my activities and whereabouts, interesting flyfishing destinations, flies and fly tying, and related topics. I'll try to keep it updated on a regular basis.

    I have another new book due in late spring, 2008. The working title is Flies For The 21st Century, and the publisher is Lyons Press. It will contain 221 fly patterns, and lots of photos and instructional information.

    I give a number of classes and appear at a number of Fly Fishing Shows throughout the year. The Classes and Shows page will be updated to list 2008-2009 dates as they become available.

    My Fly Tying Projects gives instructions for tying interesting and innovative flies. Each includes a description of when the fly would be used, a list of materials needed, and the series of steps for tying the fly, all illustrated with photographs. Each project is seasonally relevant -- in other words, flies are shown in time to tie them for specific forthcoming seasonal activity. As new projects are added, the previous ones stay on the web-site for reference. In fact, you can download any of these projects as PDF files, print them, and collect them.

    The About Me section is actually a mini-autobiography, with some background material about how I got to this point in my life. Publications describes my books currently in print, instructional flyfishing videos, and regular magazine columns.

    In Trips I describe flyfishing trips I have guided, as well as interesting destinations that have come to my attention. Photos from past trips to South Andros Island and Patagonian Chile are included, as well as photos from Russia's Kola Peninsula, the Sedanka in Kamchatka, Ireland, and Labrador.

    Every so often, I send out an e-mailing to friends and colleagues. I use this method to let you know about special events and offers, new products of note, and so on. Use the Email Service form to give me your email address for this purpose.
